I know these lists are never final until the first game of the season but I am surprised there is no running back on the release.
I imagine with players moving to new programs as though they are professional free agents I still expected Miami to successfully recruit a running back in this new class.
We had two top prospect RB’s in this years freshman class ( a Mr. Football in indiana) and a power back from Cleveland Glennville) who are redshirting, plus Kenny Tracy had an injury RS this year. We used 5 guys as running backs this season, of those Keyon Mosey and Kevin Davis are in their last year. If the staff wants more, there is always the transfer portal.
I would remember, we are holding on to some scholarships for the portal. RB might be addressed there, if Martin feels it is necessary.
Also Tito Glass Jr. is a true freshman RB
Anyone have any thoughts on QB next year? Think we roll with a Kopp/Hesson competition. Or do we go portaling?
My very uneducated guess is that the QB competition for next year will be among Hesson, Gotkowski, and possibly an unknown QB from the portal.

Maybe new commit Noah ehrlich will be part of the competition, in chucks presser he mentioned he was very similar to Gabbert, and of course Gabbert started as a freshman

I think this is correct. Hesson has been taking half the snaps for a year and a half. Gotkowski was redshirted and learned our system this year. None of us really know if either or both of those guys is good enough to win the MAC, but the coaches who have been working with them have a good idea. So they will know if we need portal help or not.
And we have maddux kopp and mcloud also at qb
