Many are here two or three years. The administration certainly wouldn’t let students redesign the campus architecture simply because they are the ones who live there at that point. And the symbol is the official symbol of the Myaamia Center - a joint program of both the University and the Tribe.
I don’t think either the black or the grey jerseys should represent Miami.

We identified it as an April Fools joke in the first five minutes. The ongoing argument stems from those you have implied that they understand that but said they like the Jersey nonetheless.

I’ll be 40 in a few months. Maybe then my philosophy on this will change.
