I really wish every sport would just do what hockey does and pick one metric and commit and solely use it. Would eliminate subjectivity and arguing. No one ever complains about the NCAA hockey tournament

Tough day at the office: NC State starter today gave up 6 runs on 6 hits with no errors and recorded one out. If I calculated correctly, that would be a 162.00 ERA if this were the first game of the season. Yikes!
Auburn up 7-0 now with one out in the first.
At least he recorded 1 out. If he didn’t, his projected opening day ERA would have been “Infinity.”

A lot of these baseball players are on their second and third teams too.
Three Tarleton State pitchers walked 7 straight Texas batters in the 4th inning. Texas scored 5 runs without a hit. A fourth Tarleton pitcher closed out the inning with two popups. Tarleton has walked 13 hitters in 4 innings.The Texans trail the Horns 12-0.
