A guy in a Miami pullover makes a cameo after the 4th inning re-up.
Based on the tik tok profile I believe this group of friends are all Miami students
Would’ve been less difficult to accomplish pre-pitch count.
Or during the Reds / O’s game yesterday.
San Diego beat Colorado 21-0 tonight.
This is the first game in Major league baseball history that ended 21-0.
It really helped my 9 year old put a 16-2 little league loss yesterday into the proper perspective.
Twins won their 11th in a row today. Because it’s Minnesota sports, they’re still in fourth place and they had Buxton/Correa both leave the game injured.
Three TD and three PAT!
If the season had ended this morning, The AL Central would have 4 teams in the playoffs. Detroit as the division leader ( tied with Dodgers for best record in baseball. Cleveland as the #1 Wild Card, Kansas City #2, and Minnesota #3. Last year the ALCentral did have 3 teams in the playoffs.
Cleveland is 6.5 games behind Detroit. Cleveland and Detroit play six more games. Cleveland has 14 games left and Detroit has 13 games left. I believe the winner of the season series between two teams wins a tiebreaker.
So, if Cleveland goes 14-0 and beats Detroit all six times Cleveland would win the division. So Cleveland controls their own destiny to win the division.
As Joe Barry used to say, “stranger things have happened.”
Cleveland pitching has been dominant since going to the 6 man rotation. Team ERA of 1.58 for past 12 games.
A Tigers or Red Sox implosion would be fun to see though.
Guards close to 5.5.
My kid and I talked on the phone two weeks ago and our Mariners were sitting in the last Wild Card slot. We looked at the schedule and agreed they probably wouldn’t make the cut. Then they inexplicably went on a 12 game winning streak. Now they’re leading the AL West!
Shades of the 1995 Refuse to Lose team!
We’re the only team left that has never played in a World Series. My first season in their clubhouse was 1982. My last was 1996. That’s a Hell of a long time ago. Time is getting short, boys. Our now retired long time Clubhouse Manager, Henry Genzale, had a pass to attend the World Series every year. He refused to use the pass until the Mariners made it to the series. Henry is two years older than I am.
Let’s do it for Henry!
Guards cut it to 4.5.
Cleveland sweeps Detroit. Guards trim it to 3.5.
Cleveland was 15.5 back on July 8. The biggest comeback in MLB history is 15 games by the 1914 Boston Braves.
Clayton Kershaw announced today this is his last season. A first ballot HOFer.
Cleveland wins, Detroit loses. Guards cut it to 2.5.
If this happens, who do you think will play JRam in the movie?
