Realistic goal for next season double total and conference win total?

It’s sad that I’d take that in a heartbeat but this is our situation right now.
I think there were some good signs of improvement at the end of the season. First 14 conference games we went 1-12-1 averaging 1.9 goals for and 5.1 goals against. In the last 10 games we went 3-7 (with 3 OT losses), averaging 2.8 goals for and 3.3 goals against. On the subject of OT losses, over the course of the season 7 games went to OT and we went 0-5-2 in those games.
If the team could play more like they did at the end of the season and figure out how to close out games then I don’t think doubling the win totals is unrealistic, but that’s still a big if.

I thought Miami won a shootout game at UMD? or 3 on 3?
Shootout wins and OT wins both count for 2 conference points (out of 3) but they count on your record as a tie, while OT wins count as a full win.
Perhaps more depth would allow the coach to rotate more frequently,
thus having more energy late in the game?
