Two Miamians competed in the 1st Stage of the 2024 Korn Ferry Q-School last week. Patrick Flavin finished 1st at his qualifying site in AZ at -16 (across 4 rounds), so he’ll be moving on to the 2nd stage in November or early December (site TBD). Danny Fisher just missed the cut at his qualifying site in Nebraska finishing 33rd at -4. Charlie Nikitas will try to move on next week (Oct. 22-25) at his 1st Stage qualifying tourney in Indiana. Jack Ebner had originally signed up to qualify this past week, but withdrew.
Congratulations to Charlie Nikitas! He moves on to Stage 2 of Korn Ferry qualifying by winning his Stage 1 tournament with a score of -18 (over 4 rounds). So, both Charlie and Patrick Flavin move on and are still alive for full exemption on next year’s Korn Ferry Tour.
Unfortunately, neither Patrick Flavin nor Charlie Nikitas qualified last week for the Final Stage of Korn Ferry Q School. Patrick shot -6 in his first round of the 2nd Stage tourney in Savannah and was in the top 5, but shot even par after that and missed the cut. Charlie played well until the final round tripped him up. The good news is that, since both Patrick & Charlie were the medalists of their respective First Stage locations, I believe they receive Exempt status through the Latin American stage of the 2025 PGA Americas tour. So they go that going for them…which is nice!
