Toledo is currently 9-6 (3-0 MAC), as the Rockets are currently on
a four-game win streak with wins over Lourdes (100-67), Western Michigan (84-
79), Central Michigan (78-75) and Northern Illinois (75-61). Toledo went 18-15 (10-8
MAC) last year. Head coach Tod Kowalczyk is in his 16th season with the Rockets.
Heading into the 2025-26 season, Toledo was selected to finish sixth overall in the
2025-26 MAC Preseason Men’s Basketball Poll. Junior guard Sonny Wilson was
selected as a Preseason Second Team All-MAC player.
Wilson (16.9/game) and freshman guard Leroy Blyden Jr. (15.1/game) lead the
Rockets offense in points. Blyden Jr. also leads the team in assists (4.4/game) and
steals (1.8/game), while Wilson follows closely behind in both assists (4.3/game)
and steals (1.5/game). Senior forward Sean Craig averages the most rebounds (7.8/game) and junior center Austin Parks has totaled the most blocks (1.0/game).
Gotta win games like this to keep any fantastical at large dreams alive. Not saying it’s an easy one (few MAC road games are) but Toledo is definitely down this year and very beatable.

I believe that we are 1.5 point underdogs on a couple of sites that I checked.
It’s an early showdown weekend in the MAC: Miami/Toledo, Akron at BG and Buffalo at OU (Sat.)
Yeah it flipped from -1.5 to +1.5 overnight.
Hopefully we see Tyler Robbins on Parks! Battle of the giants!
