Miami women travel to Muncie to play Ball State this morning. This will be the toughest MAC challenge Miami will face to date. Ball State is good. Very good. And very big. They have high major size. They start 3 who are 6’0" or taller. Center is 6’5", PF is 6’3" and they have more size off the bench. They have the same record as Miami, 7-0 in MAC play, 15-4 overall. Devries and Tretter have to stay out of foul trouble. Expect Devries on 6’5 Towers, and Tretter on 6’3" Salabien. Kingery will likely be Jurjo’s responsibility. This is the game of the year so far in the MAC between 2 well matched teams. I will be in the car driving back from Oxford to St. Louis before the storm from hell hits so I will leave the game thread in the capable hands of others.
Ball State has an identical 15-4 record and is also unbeaten atop the
MAC standings at 7-0. They lead the conference in scoring (78.4 ppg.) and are led by Bree
Salenbien (14.9 ppg.), Tessa Towers (13.7 ppg.) and Grace Kingery (12.5 ppg.).
