Interesting topic
Seriously though, this article is about as relevant to Miami and the Miami student body as me submitting an article to The Miami Student about my trip to Mexico City back in September.
I dunno, Elisa comes back and tells her roommate how great college football is in person. That person tells three sorority sisters, those three tell five girls each in their merchandising class, and BOOM!! 25 more students at the next Miami home game. At least in the first half.
Or more likely she and her friends road trip to Athens, GA for another Bulldog all while being completely oblivious to the fact that the school they actually attend has a D-1 football team.
=>Do tell.
If only this ended with something like “If students, alumni, and locals get invested with our teams, we can bring our own version of this type of game day to Oxford”
Was a nice premise if it tied back to Miami and our football experience (and why a student body engaged with sports can help build a college community), but was a bit of a missed opportunity.
Tell her that we beat Georgia in the Tangerine, now Citrus, Bowl!
