I concur with the Chuck_2112, the Snoop Dog Bowl is a blast. We had a great time last year, and there’s lots to do and see in Tucson. Recommend flying into PHX (more available flights and cheaper than flying into Tucson) and renting a car for the short 90-minute drive down Interstate 10.

Was kinda hoping WMU would be taking on B10 team as they could definitely beat them. Not so sure about the Chips.
I actually recommend the truly psychotic approach of flying into PHX and then connecting to Tucson. The connecting flight took a whopping 21 minutes. We literally sat on the tarmac before the departure longer than we spent in the air.
Definitely recommend making time for the Desert Museum if you go.

Also recommend the Leo Kent Hotel (it’s a Marriott property) in downtown Tucson. It’s very nice, though a little pricey. Lots of nice restaurants and saloons within walking distance, and also within walking distance to the downtown pep rally location. Tuscon Botanical Gardens is first class too.
Airfare from North Carolina is more expensive than what I spent to go to Belfast. I was really hoping for Myrtle or Boca. Pretty certain I can’t make it to Tucson. I really like that area. Wish I could make it work. Maybe a bowl next year.
Thoughts/updates/rumors on players transferring out/sitting out?
They moved the portal to open January 2nd now, so hopefully bowls are more like real games than they’ve been the past couple years.
Especially with a fun destination that involves getting to meet Snoop, I’d hope minimal sit outs, but this is the first year of the new window so uncharted waters.
Can confirm. My wife tried to get some before halftime and they were already sold out. We had to buy it at the grocery store afterward to try it out.

We might as well just make this an official partnership with the Snoop Arizona Bowl monetize it if we keep going there. Now THAT would be a bold move in the current landscape of college sports.
I wonder how big fresnos crowd will be compared to Colorado states was. Fresno isn’t as drivable and they’ve gone to bowls more frequent compared to CSU.
Toledo playing Louisville in Boca. To be honest it’s a better location and opponent than WMU getting Kennesaw in Myrtle Beach, not great for them to get passed over for a team without a coach.

Oh what a disappointment for WMU to get paired up with Kennesaw State while UT got to play Louisville. Geez. Also wonder why Arizona Bowl didn’t get WMU. I kind of expected us to get matched up w someone like Kennesaw

The Arizona Bowl was totally awesome last year but selfishly I was hoping for the Boca Bowl rumor based on my calendar this year. That would have been something if we got to play Louisville.
The Birmingham Bowl seems to have been the “odd man out this year”
