Trying to capture that first tourney win with a group that doesn’t have experience in one-and-done’s can usually lead to ugly games. But they found a way and survive to tomorrow. Love & Honor. I think we’ll see a more settled team tomorrow.

Just booked my hotel for tomorrow night. Not planning on leaving without a ticket to the dance. Bringing the 1809 Legacy and not popping it until the trophy presentation.

Agreed. This was my worry. None of the guys had experienced success in college conference tournaments.

We are winning the tournament and going to the show. Haters, go away you’re not needed. Speaking of haters, to those who doubt Craft, he put up big numbers on former Big East players today. Those dudes and that team do not suck. Maybe you were wrong?

If EMU had not crapped down its leg Friday, the Eagles would have been the 3-seed. So basically, we beat what was essentially a 3-seed to now get the chance to play (likely) the 3-seed.

Glad we got the win. Need better free throw shooting going forward.

The last time we were in the semis, our freshmen were in preschool.

OK ,we got the clunker out of the way and hopefully all the jitters of being in the tournament.
Craft’s teammates have picked him up a lot this year. Good to see him come through on the big stage.
Guess we’re a pretty deep team, huh?

Could not follow the game live and based on reading the thread, I am probably fortunate I didn’t during the first half.

Impressions just from the stats is that we shot 18 more free throws than EMU, but we only hit 19 of 29.
Craft was 9-13 from the field and led the way w Suder having a rare off night. Potter was impressive w 15 points and 8 rebounds in 24 minutes.

Great to get the win! (sorry not sorry, Theman).

Lot of work left to do, but damn winning is more fun than losing. For a long time being a Miami fan was more of a masochism kink than hobby.

Now in the last few years we’ve had 3 Detroit trips with two titles. Bowl trips of Bahamas and Orlando (and major regret on skipping Snoop), and now a semis in Cleveland on tap.

Love and honor.

I forgot how great it felt to win a conference tournament game. It will even better tomorrow. And then the best when The SackFam storms the court on Saturday.

Keep that rebounding intensity, boys, and make your free throws. We’ll be just fine.

I’ve been watching that Celtics doc on HBO (it’s good and I hate the Celtics) and we need @DICK to be our Red and light up a cigar after our wins.

When was the last Miami triple double (if ever)? Suder was a few missed bunnies and free throws away from getting it done today. He impacted the game bigly despite struggling to finish around the rim.

Also, might be a decent time for Kam to go on a heater. That last one was pretty close to the MAC logo!

Decent Miami contingent today for a Thursday in Cleveland, but we need the calvary to arrive tomorrow! The Miami section is 106 for anyone who doesn’t get their tickets from Miami.

What I love about Suder is that he finds a way to make a positive contribution every night even when the offense isn’t flowing for him. The entire team plays with more energy when he’s on the floor. And I keep calling out Potter for getting better every week, but damned if he doesn’t keep getting better every week. You can tell he has been working hard on his game.

Sheez a roller coaster of emotions the last five minutes. My heart can’t take it. But a great win. It’s been decades since I was this invested in a Miami basketball team.
