17-11 Miami with 8 minutes to go, TO Bulls. We are using Kamari and Tatum at the wings instead of Lewis and Mabry and the defense looks great. Andy got 3 layups since the last TO. Lairy is scoreless.
Serious question, what does Lewis give us?

Unironically, Lewis might be the best off ball defender on the team, especially against forwards.

27-19 Miami at the 4 and under TO. We are winning with defense and we have gotten much better shots. UB at 30%, we are up to 50%.

Miami defense was outstanding!
Up 38 to 29 at the half as UB scored a bunch in the last 2 minutes. Lewis keeps driving the middle and getting in trouble every time. Shoot the ball in the midrange when you are open! Our defense in the last minute or two was not good, we may have gotten a little tired. One thing about UB, they can go on a ten point run quickly at any time.
Led by as many as 15, but still great to be up 9 at the half on the road. This team playing with so much confidence right now.

@DICK Yeah, but Lewis’ inept offense is offset by his great off ball defense, especially against forwards.
If you told me we’d have a 9pt halftime lead against Buffalo on the road, I would’ve been very excited. Good start!

Andy leading the way with 11 points. The game changed when we started to get the ball inside to him.
Toledo beats Ball state by 6. Kent is up 3 on Akron with 30 seconds to go.
Defensively we’ve been really sharp. We’re doing a good job of giving them the 3, cutting off driving lanes, and helping on drives. They’ll get some drives, but as long as we continue to gang rebound and take care of the ball, we’ll be in good shape. But if we don’t take care of the ball, we’ll be in trouble. They’ve done a great job of converting our turnovers into points. The tempo gets in their favor when we turn it over.
When we take care of the ball and are patient offensively, we’re getting good looks. In the first 8 minutes, if someone was open at all, they felt like they had to shoot, we were too impatient. After that, the ball started reversing, their big guys had to move, and we got good looks. If we take care of the ball, keep the tempo down (Lairy did a good job of controlling the tempo), and stay patient offensively, we’ll be tough to beat.
Couldn’t ask for a worse start. Lairy needs to go get the ball from Mabrey. 14-2 run for UB going back to the end of the half.
And the lead is 3 points just like that. Andy missed two layups. Mabrey got his pocket picked. We sucked at the end of the half and now and blew a 15 or 16 point lead in a hurry.
What is point of Mabrey right now?
39-38 Bulls as now we are struggling. We have had 5 shots in the paint bur are scoreless on the half. And we are getting killed on the boards right now.
