Coach Box is a man of few words.
His post game interview on the court with the ESPN guy was strange; he seemed distracted. I think he was on his way to do his usual post game spot on the Miami Network and that guy ambushed him. Looked like he thought if he gave short, curt answers they would cut it short.
Most teams have a press room complete with podium and final stats sheets. The usual game notes indicate that the visiting coach will be made available, typically followed by the home team coach and players as requested by the press. So yes, I suspect that Coach Box was surprised to find a microphone thrust before him post game.
He wanted to get the team back to Oxford due to the winter storm.
