Box has us humming like Megan Duffy is back on the bench! Keeping Steele needs to be the priority but would love if we could keep Glenn around.
Box is a better coach than she was (at Miami, not Va Tech.) Not really even a debate if you look at the wins.
The MAC was a lot stronger when Duffy was here. We had two Sweet 16 teams in one of her seasons.
Not as bad as the one Box inherited, but she also inherited a very bad situation and fixed it in year 1 without the transfer portal.
I’m confused by your claim. No disrespect to Coach Box but Duffy’s winning percentage was.687. Box is at .555. Box has one more total win.
Box inherited a dumpster fire. Plus, by the time he was hired it was late to recruit. He had to cobble together a lineup as best he could. Katie Richason stayed and only two of four freshmen recruits showed up, one of those being Amber Tretter. Duffy inherited much better players who had been poorly coached. She took a 9 win team and won 20 her first season.
He had a worse squad than she had and in two years, he’s in a better place than she was. That’s my claim. Yellow’s my name.
They are each good coaches. Slightly different in some ways, but each was/is good for Miami. I would be pleased if our daughter had played for either one.
