Miami Baseball 2026 Season

14-11 Final. Teams with 12 hits apiece.

Guess Pitching is very poor

=>Not even that good.

Midweek college baseball is a different animal. The good starters pitch on the weekend so midweek games are practically bullpen games

14 hits, 15 walks

Drove up to Pattersons for breakfast and caught the last inning of Miami’s victory. Nothing better than Oxford when the weather is gorgeous

Coastal won a natty in baseball but they’re a mid major. That tracks!

Many mid majors have won nattys. Fresno state, cal state Fullerton, and rice among them

I know but how can they be called mid majors then. Especially if it was recent. Term seems wrong for a sport with more parity like baseball.

College baseball used to have a degree of parity and some “mid-major” national powers, mostly in California. That has changed. Over the last twenty College World Series champions, only Fresno State in 2008 and Coastal Carolina in 2016 were mid-majors. SEC teams have won the last six. UCLA was the last California team of any size to win, and that was in 2013.

Yeah I wouldn’t consider the sun belt and a few western conferences “mid majors”. The sun belt had several bids last year and even hosted a regional

It was a LONG time ago but college basketball was like that too. Check the 1950s and 1960s and see how many “mid-majors” used to win it

Baseball - Wichita State - 7 CWS appearances, 3 runners up and 1 Natty.
