This is not the first time I’ve felt like Miami has played a pretty pedestrian or even bad half and is nursing a small lead.

Ugly half. Western is just playing harder than Miami.
Why would we ever play a lineup with Coop and Ipsaro? One or the other—preferably Ipsaro. That’s just a bad offensive lineup. And getting killed on boards so we go with our two smallest guys?
Fix rebounding and this is over.

Kraft and Elmer and 0-6 for 0 points and we have a lead. Hell, add in Suder and our top 3 leading scorers are 1-10 for 2 points and we lead at half.
I don’t even mean this as a pile on joke, the depth of this team is crazy.

Took a lot of tough 2’s which isn’t typical for us. 1-8 for Craft/Suder combo. And destroyed on the boards. Yet we lead by 2. Keep pushing pace in the 2nd half and wear them down.
We are up two- so we are doing some things right
I dont think our shot selection has been great today to be honest - maybe because western seems to be playing hard
Obviously rebounding is a huge first half problem
On the good side I feel like we have run some good action to get some easy ones and I feel like besides rebounding our defense has been good
Potter still seems limited, Woolfolk might need to play all 20 in the second half.

I think everyone has it covered. The only reason this game is close is because they’re playing harder than we are, especially on the boards. Plus, one of our big 3 of Craft, Suder, and Elmer need to step up and help the others. I continue to be impressed with the toughness of Byers and Skaljac. Woolfolk could use more touches. Instead of bringing him out high to screen, let’s put him on the wing so he can seal and get some more post touches.
You gotta love MAC refs. They’ve been pretty consistent on handchecks on the ball. But they’re letting everything go off the ball and underneath the basket.

To be fair, Miami really doesn’t rebound well beyond the 3 spot. The second-best rebounder getting two fouls early wasn’t a recipe for success.
I feel like Miami has no business having the halftime lead.
How does WM afford Steve Carell to do the play by play?

I’m not sure why we’re hedging hard on Willis. He shoots less than 30% from 3. Go under screens on him and everyone else.
I dont love our switches on the pick and roll. I think I would rather have their pg try the three and keep our bigs on theirs
These mid range shit shots early in the shot clock have to stop. Move!
