Miami is down 38 to 23 at the end of the first half. Elissa Brett, who played the last 4 seasons at BG, has 14 points on 5 out of 6 shooting. For us Maddie Huhn has 8, and the Scott twins have 7 and 6. As usual, we have too many turnovers and after trailing only 20 to 16, Michigan turned up the pressure and got some steals and quick easy baskets.
Listening to Bill Douglas on the call. Down 16 at one point in the 3rd quarter we out score them 15-9 in the quarter and are down 9 going to the 4th.

Cut it to 6 early in the 4th. Brett hit her sixth and seventh three and the rout was on. Final 75-49. 3-19 on threes and -19 on the boards.
Nothing to feel bad about. Simply don’t have the firepower to compete yet on that level, but that said, I’m very impressed with what the staff is getting from this team. We will win some games yet.

Coach Box, post game, praises our effort and fight. Calls it our best execution of the year. Eventually, size and talent were too much for us.
