As bad as it will feel for Miami fans losing players to the portal (and I fear itās gonna hurt), at least Miami was deep this past season. Some of these other MAC schools losing their better players will suffer a more severe impact.
Conference POY and DPOY this past season, is a Top 5 PG currently in the portal. Went to high school in Conover, OH but appeared it wasnāt recruited much, clearly heās improved.
Enisās dad, Curtis was a RB at Penn State and the 5th guy taken in the NFL draft. Dad could hoop too.
As I recall, he was in the portal last year as well and we showed some interest. Ended up returning to Lincoln Memorial for soph year.
I think he is the son of former Penn State running back Curtis Enis.
Stage is set. (Almost)

Oh wellā¦
Least surprising⦠think weāll miss his defense but Ipsaro is the engine on offense and Luke needs the room to grow
Akron players directly mentioning the NIL collective in their posts. Clearly making the tournament did well for the collective, or maybe the collective completely neglects football
Iāll believe Akronās roster is returning en masse when I see it in June.
Also, Akron has 5 seniors that are out of eligibility/
I thought Nate Johnson was a senior. Bummer.
As far as Cooper goes, I wish him the best, but this is the one spot on the roster I wouldāve looked to upgrade anway. Get another scoring/creating guard to go along with Suder and Ipsaro. We should be thinking about how to compete with Akron and to do that we need to match up with their guards.
1 of those seniors was a walk-on and 2 of them (Scott and Okonkwo) are eligible for another year. So akron is losing 2 seniors (Gray and Wilson). If they return everyone else, they will be really good again. Plus they have 2 HS recruits coming in and can add 2 transfers with the scholarship limit going from 13 to 15.
Miami had 11 scholarship players last year and has 4 high school recruits coming in. The limit next year is 15. So with the departure of Luers, Craft and Cooper, we will be able to add at least 3 transfers.
