On the MAC board the West fans have been advocating for years to do away with divisions so the two best teams could play in the MACC. It is very interesting the way it has worked out in the first year of getting their way. Here are the up to date standings on Thanksgiving.

If I remember last year correctly, they said the MAC championship game was the first time teams with extremely good records were actually facing off against each other. In the past, what Dick has above as far as records go, is exactly the problem the MAC had been facing for years. All the great teams are heavy in one of the sides.
Also this is the same reason why the SEC and the Big10 went to the same arrangement. Just let the two best teams play.
