I get college football is bigger down south, but seems like a real failure that schools like MTSU and WKU sit in conferences that bring in more money than we do. Those are not schools that were better positioned than Miami 20 years ago and are somewhat regionally adjacent.

I’ve no doubt that if Miami started to focus and prioritize athletic advancement 20 years ago, we’d be in a much better conference now

And these numbers show why I have said many times, I would like Miami out of the MAC into a different conference or different conference construction. And I am not talking necessarily ACC. A G5 super conference could be put together in which Miami is one member also taking schools from Sun Belt and CUSA at a minimum. I think if done correctly it could be a conference that would hold more sway with TV networks for bigger money than the MAC currently gets.
