Its pretty disappointing kids’ privacy (despite on a super general level) is compromised due to shady gambling requirements.

Is this a requirement for all FBS? This obviously hurts the stealth factor a bit, but looks like it only allows 3 hours of rapid changes if needed.

It’s done 90%++++ for gambling purposes.

The four teams whoose reports were published on Thursday have a combined 49 players out due to injury. An average of over 12 players per team is one heck of a lot for the season openers.

Is it a lot because it genuinely is, or just because the average fan hasn’t seen a college injury report? College rosters are twice as large as NFL. 6 injuries per team heading into game 1 doesn’t feel unreasonable. Add in some pretty large differences in development and conditioning compared to the NFL and in not shocked.

CMU and Toledo are also doing a lot to pump that number up. Very curious where Miami sits.

Yeah no

Ha ha

I have to disagree as we have entered a new age of college sports and if they expect to be paid as part of the enterprise I think they need to expect that people are watching in part to gamble and that injury information cant be available to only a few.

I am all for going back in time and making college sports for amateurs again

I agree that 6 per team doesn’t seem shocking but it is 12 per team and that does.

F$@k the gamblers. The NcAA is on par with ISIS and Hamas. If you want to gamble on college sports that’s fine, but it doesn’t entitle you to the kids’ information

It’s probably not even for the gamblers more for the books, because I guarantee 95% of gamblers won’t look at these but 100% of sportsbooks adjust their lines based on the injury report
