Shooting around in practice quite different than playing a D1 basketball game. That is a HEAVY wrap on his non-shooting wrist. Concerning.
Best to rest for MAC Tourney right?
I’m heavily conflicted on this.
That amount of tape is not just precautionary. Hard to imagine running an offense and being a credible offensive threat if he has to wear that. We need a healthy Luke Skaljac next week and beyond and if playing tomorrow meaningfully threatens the chances of that, it’s not worth it.
Then again– these next two games are only the most “must win” regular season games in the last 50 or so years of Miami basketball.
Whatever call Luke and the team makes… I hope it’s the right one.
Glad to see him practicing, but as I said a few days ago, if he isn’t as healed as he could be with more, rest, then let him rest, start Trey Perry again, and keep Luke in reserve only if we need him against Toledo. We definitely will need Luke in the MAC Tourney and our NCAA run to the Final Four!
