KUDOS TO THE BAND AND DANCE TEAM!

For those that don’t know, the band and the Miami Dance team had to report at 330am yesterday morning, to board buses to Detroit that left Oxford at 430am. To watch that fiasco. That is dedication!

And they did well.

I assume there were no issues between the Miami Marching Band and the Marching 110 when they shared the field for the first time since 1992.

I would like to see the bands renew the migration tradition from the 60s. It would add to the pageantry surrounding the Bricks rivalry.

The only thing that was kind of a d-bag move on the 110’s side was booing the photos of anyone on the Jumbotron wearing Miami gear. Had never seen OU’s band before, and I thought they were wildly entertaining!

The 110 has a definite cult following. In some ways they might be the most popular organization at OU - more popular than their sports teams.

A very few of ours fans did the same for their photos.

Yeah I thought our coference championship game was far superior to what I saw from every other G5 championship. Bands, dance teams, video board, cheerleaders, scoreboard, seats, food, ease of parking, NFL stadium, everything was so first class. Large fan groups for both sides facing each other across the field, kind of like the Texas/Oklahoma game always is. The other games were more like normal Saturday G5 homegames.

By the way, this was the 6th time we have played in this game at Ford Field and this was our largest crowd. We definitely had more fans there than Ohio, which was probably a surprise to them.
