Kent St. game thread (11/13)

At least I thought we were playing Kent next week. It’s EMU again according to our official X account. (And if you want to get picky, the “H” in “RedHawks” should be capitalized.)

I brought attention to it, and they’ve already deleted it.

And it’s on ESPNU, they should fix that too

I was hoping Kent’s winless record would give ESPN reason to pass entirely on this game and send its broadcast to CBS Sports Network. CBSSN actually puts some effort into the broadcasts to treat them like somewhat big deals (meaning not talking about upcoming games between every other play).

Alas, nope. ESPNU.

We’re 29.5 point favorites currently. When was the last time we were giving that many points!

Current weather would be good football weather. Clear at night, Mid 50’s high during afternoon, low of 44 at night.

That’s great football weather

Should be a fun game. We’re watching from here as friend has chemo on Thursday.

Weather forecast for tonight has taken a turn for the worst. Rain has entered the forecast, starting around 7 and probably continuing off and on all night. Temperatures in the low 50’s but the reel feel will be mid 40’s.

Despite being in a drought all Fall, this will be the third time in 10 games that I have had to sit through an all game rain. Well, we are 2-0 in rain games, so there is that.

DICK you are a true hero, because it looks like the weather is going to be miserable.

The High Noon banner is already in the air!

Wednesday nights are crazy for us, so I’ll be setting the dvr and watching on delay. It’s the wife’s late day, and my daughters have ballet, swim and gymnastics between them. Haha. I swear, Wednesdays are just nuts.

But fortunately it’s winless Kent St. I can breathe a little easier not catching it live with the knowledge that we shouldn’t be having much trouble with them.

Rain at night?

Shirtless weather.

Bad weather always worries me when my team is a favorite, even a heavy favorite. I am hopeful we get on them early so as to break whatever spirit they are bringing to the game tonight. Cheer them on, Dick. I’m watching this one from the comfort of my home. Perhaps we can meet up at Bee Gee.

Fifteen minutes to kickoff and Bake & Bridge are warming up their vocal cords with a smoke in the shadow of the softball field.

Hearing attendance is nonexistent

Per injury report, Raion Strader and Cade McDonald both out tonight along with Brandon Lawhorn Moore.

Well, I said not to give them hope. What a horrible three plays.

Well that is one more TD Kent had than in the entire game against OU
