Justin Vaive Career Thread

I went to the Toledo Walleye playoff game Friday night, and there was Justin Vaive playing for the Cincinnati cyclones. He was still 6-6, still 240 pounds, and still not skating particularly well. But, he has carved out a long minor league career, so a hat tip to him.

Checking his hockeyDB, it looks like he has played a couple hundred games in the AHL, but has played about 400 or 500 games in the ECHL. Good to see him still playing, and his physical presence certainly fits in well in the E.

I think he’s also considered an assistant coach along with being the Captain.

Won the ECHL Kelly Cup with Ft Wayne last year while Cincy didn’t play.

First goal scorer in the new arena, right?

He didn’t come till the next year.

Peter Mannino. Hard working recruiter and better person.

Back when Miami hockey was great every season. I for one didn’t see the program getting so bad. Hope program can get good again. Tough being in the best conference.

Looks like a good recruiting class coming in this season.
