Can we get a new rule here - no simply posting a name without any explanation in the title? The ol’ ticker can’t handle it.
Maybe he’s trying to keep him in staff and the title/pay increase didn’t?
I did not check men’s programs but I know Glenn Box was an Associate Head Coach at IU before taking our head job. Rhet Wierzba was also an Associate Head Coach on that staff so they had two. Of course, Rhet’s brother Ben is now our women’s Associate Head Coach.
It’s like Jr. Vice President…hand them out like candy, lol.
Otherwise, congrats to Coach Holmes!
There’s actually a whole body of case law in CA about how just because someone has VP in their title doesn’t mean they have any authority. Because yeah, anyone can get it.

We saw this same titeling trend in music. There have been Kings, Queens, Counts, Dukes and as far as I can tell none actually were.
