Turns out Clark is stoppable after all. At least she is after a little bit, because that first quarter was jaw-dropping.

After the first quarter USC started pressuring her hard around the perimeter. When she started trying to drive the lane the bigs upfront really altered the angles on her shots. Would have been interesting to have seen Iowa with a healthy Molly Davis. They were at their best when she was part of the equation.

Borderline face guarding at times. But they did do a good job of lowering her comfort level.

They put up numbers comparable to OSU/Michigan and the College Football Playoffs.

If anyone doubts Caitlin Clark’s impact on the women’s game this year check out this graph that compares Clark’s points and assists to all other D1 hoopsters (men and women).

That green dot in the upper right hand corner is what might be referred to as an OUTLIER.

Braden Smith of Purdue is the other outlier in the assists axis and Zach Edey is the outlier on points.

I saw Hidalgo’s name on there. Was a fine racehorse. Great to see the transition to hoops has gone well.
