Today is International Haiku Day. In honor of the occasion, I think it only appropriate to bring up Johnny Mac’s legendary Haiku, which to this day is my favorite post of all time on MHT:

Years ago, didn’t some BG guys troll Marshall with Haiku on a discussion board? It was pretty great.

For a little context for our younger viewers, that is from the time period when Marshall was leaving the MAC for Conference USA, which was (ahead of its time, it seems) a far-flung association of schools.

I heard the BG guys worked with the guys who started the site to publicize it, and it was a planned rollout on the BG board that spread organically from there.
