Post proof of a $290 donation made today and I’ll shut up. 
Well, then keep talking. My donation plans have been made but may increase as circumstances allow.
A few things can be true at once:
- I don’t think people should be publicly shamed for their personal financial decisions around a college basketball team, especially in a rough economy for many
- People who support Miami basketball and want to see it succeed have an obligation to help however they can financially, especially during a historic season
- Individual donations may be dwarfed by big money, but I’m guessing Sayler is using the influx of grassroots contributions to help convince our wealthiest donors to fund the arena and other priorities
That being said, I’ll put my money where my mouth is (and for the upcoming arena campaign as well). Would encourage others to do the same if they’re able.

Your desire just might come to fruition with a small contribution to the Red Brick Legacy Men’s Basketball Fund or the Men’s Basketball Excellence Fund. Your donation doesn’t need to be $290, it can be $2.90 for all I care. Look over the giving specials we have going on right now.

My annual donation to the athletic department is almost twice that, and I will not prove it to anyone, nor will I boast about it.
