Ugh
2-1 with 2:09 remaining.
And just like thatā¦ ENG!
I always love seeing the guys get a goal while the PA announcer is still announcing the opposing teamās previous goal.
BOOM! ANOTHER ENG!
Winner. May it be the first of many.

McEwen had a great weekend! Kucharcik also really stood out.

Only goal NMU scored came during a 6-on-4.
Miami scored 2 PP goals, one by a freshman and the other by a sophomore transfer. Good to see.

Yea us!
Wouldāve loved a sweep, but glad to see we rebounded after a rusty game 1 of the year to take game 2. Hopefully next weekend will be even better. Looking forward to seeing what this team can do, especially when fully healthy.

Game 2 looked like more focused and seemed to have more of an attention to detail approach. I think we will have to remember we do have a decent number of freshmen. Hope we can stay focused as the games move forward

Yes and even between game 1 and game 2 the freshmen took a BIG step. Kucharcik obviously had a much better game. Vukas, Seelinger and Loomer improved noticeably imo. Huston surprised me with how well he played all weekend. And now after learning what college hockey is really about they have a bye week and plenty of time to prepare for the next game!
No game next weekend. Quirky schedule means they are off until October 15 vs RMU.
My error. Thanks for correcting. Looking forward to seeing them take the next step against RMU.
Iāll be at the Friday RIT-UMass hockey game, so Iām guaranteeing I wonāt be thoroughly disappointed while attending at least one sporting event in Amherst this weekend.
