No matter what you think about the state of men’s hoops, I think something pretty awesome is happening right now and we likely have Herb and Charlie to thank. A ton of their respective staff at other places and MU have gone onto amazing things. Too many to mention here at this hour. I watched the Arkansas coach win tonight and thought of Herb. I see names like Steele or Mack thrown around to lead our team and I know they were tutored by Miller who was tutored by one of ours. Some Herb. Some Charlie. Can’t remember the ratio. No matter who gets hired, there’s some magic there. Not a ton left, but some. It’s the season to be optimistic, right? We have nothing else to play for this year but here’s to that changing soon.
