No. Carolina Upset
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 21, (AP)—The University of Miami of Oxford, Ohio, hit 57 per cent of its shots to stun highranked North Carolina, 102‐92, tonight. The Redskins, leaders in the Mid‐American Conference, forged ahead by 11 points midway in the first half.
North Carolina fought back to take its only lead of the game, 48‐47, with three minutes left in the half.
Rich Hampton had 25 points, Phil Lumpkin 24 and 6‐11 Dave Elmer 22 for Miami.
It was only the fifth loss for North Carolina in 25 games.
