If this were scheduled 2 weeks ago, you guys would be coming into a couple feet of snow and butt cold temps. But a heat wave hit West Michigan last week, and has melted almost everything.

Those of us who have been involved in hockey over the years know it’s a two degrees of separation game. You’re always running into someone who knows someone you know. My son and his wife are spending the holidays with friends in Finland. They attended and Espoo Blues Finnish Hockey League game today just outside Helsinki. They ran into the hockey team from my son’s Massachusetts Junior Boarding School - Eaglebrook School - at the arena. They are playing a series over there between Christmas and New Years.

The MTU band is here and rockin. Unfortunately our band has been with the football team during both tournaments we’ve been in. Not sure they’re complaining about being in sunny Arizona and not rainy Grand Rapids though
