Georgia Tech

They finally did it. We have waited for so long. Who knew all we needed to do was switch message boards

Obviously starting 5 had great games but I was impressed with frosh Curtis Harrison as well. Great team win. And minus Beck as well. Signature win! Now keep it rolling!

Pinch me! Outstanding effort! Great preparation! And the fortitude to fight back one more time at the end of the game. Great job!

And if you don’t think experienced guard play matters, look at how Georgia Tech played the last 2 minutes. Bad, ill-timed shots and little cohesion on offense. We had the experience and leadership and it showed.

I believe this is our first win over an ACC opponent since knocking off #10 BC in Hawai’i in '01. First true road win over an ACC opponent since beating ND in South Bend in 2000. Feels so good.

It’s been so long neither one of those teams was a member of the ACC at that time.

Were they Big East back then?

Arguably, the biggest win since Charlie Coles retired.

This was awesome. So much fun to catch the second half.

I don’t think there’s anything arguable about it

Yeah both would have still been in the Big East.

Been a fan since Coop’s first season, so that entire era. Yes, tonight is the biggest win we’ve had in that time.

Next 5 out of 6 games are at home, including the UC game.
Keep up the momentum MU!

That was no Wright State win…lol

So then when’s the last time we beat a team who was a member of the ACC at the time we beat? Can’t be UNC in '73, can it?

In other games: Akron comes within seconds of beating Ohio St, EMU plays Indiana to within 6, Ohio beats Belmont, Toledo beats Valpo on the road, CMU hangs tough against Missouri, and NIU is currently leading Washington.

Could be a fun year in the conference.

Let’s hope the late-to-the-fair athletic admin can leverage this and get some promotion going!
