Former Miami Basketball Players To Be Featured. on ESPN

=>FYI for any of y’all interested, Sunday morning 8am Sports Center will feature Cincinnati Roger Bacon’s 2002 basketball team. That team beat Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary in the Division II state championship game. Akron SVSM had LeBron James, Romeo Travis (1st All-MAC player at Akron) and Dry Joyce, III (also played for Akron).

Roger Bacon had Miami players Josh Hausfeld and Monty St. Clair, Beckham Wyrick (went to UNCW), and Frank Phillips (D2 Findlay).

It was the only high school game Lebron ever lost to another Ohio team in his career.

Hausfeld was tournament MVP after hitting 7 treys in the game.

Moll still swears Monty St.Clair is a better player than LeBron.

Looked up Hausfeld’s record at Miami…he came right in and started immediately his first two seasons (averaged around 7ppg), and then didn’t start a game his junior year (perhaps he was injured or just lost his starting position). In his senior year he started about 60% of the games.

Was it Hausfeld who was coming off an injury and had a big game in our Bracket Buster win over Wichita St.?

If I recall. …badly injured ankle.
