Northwestern and OSU are playing at Wrigley today. The Pinstripe Bowl is played annually in Yankee Stadium. I know Miami has played UC (and UK?) at what is now Paycor Stadium; would it be feasible to ever play the Bearcats, or any opponent, at Great American Ballpark? I’m thinking it would likely be too expensive to pull off, and I’m not sure about the logistics, but it could be fun. Thoughts?
Football in baseball stadiums needs to stop IMO.
No, half the seats face the wrong way due to baseball stadium seats facing home plate which ends up being an end zone when nfl is played there
That’s a good point. Didn’t think of that.
I think the high end zone seats are the best ones……same with hockey. It is an entirely different viewing experience
It’s not about the end zone seats. It’s about if you are sitting down the foul line at the 50 yard line the seat is facing the end zone due to how a baseball stadium is shaped, forcing you to turn your head the entire game
Also seats aren’t properly elevated like at football stadiums so if you are behind one of the sidelines close enough to the field it is hard to see
I guess wrigley is a little different I was more thinking of petco for the holiday bowl where a lot of the seats make a weird viewing experience
Petco hands down has the best MLB food and beer I’ve ever experienced….
Yes if you don’t mind the $18+ beer prices
I was there about 10 years ago and don’t remember them being outrageous. I think I had a 22oz can……and a sausage and pepper sandwich. Wow
Yeah that was when the Padres payroll was around $60m Now it’s above $160m every year so prices have similarly increased
