Watching the postgame press conference Anthony Noreen has me fired up and ready to run through a wall for this team. Lots of talk about the future and the lofty goals/undoubted belief he has for this program. Even after finishing a season with 0 conference wins he’s talking hanging banners from the rafters and filling the walls with NHL players. Love that he’s our coach.
The transfer portal opens March 30th and closes May 13th; it’ll probably be a wild offseason again for us
I like talk, but I like winning more. We’ll see what he can do next year

It’s an opportunity and a risk. I’d rather see Miami shutter the program than turn it into the sort of last chance saloon Noreen apparently ran at Tri-City. I hope David Saylor and our academic administrators have been very clear with Noreen about who he can recruit.

Yeah if we see Trevor Connelly enter the portal I’m immediately getting scared😅
We have a big freshman class coming in so that brings down the number of spots we need to use the portal to fill and I haven’t heard anything scandalous about them…yet

When did MHT start? I joined in 2004 and I thought it was only a couple years old at that point.
Steve launched the first version of it on the old “SportsOnly” platform in 1997. I think we moved to what was then the “nice” message board platform in around 2002 or so.

You do NOT want to see me out there just because I’m ready to run through a wall doesn’t mean I can (even if it’s made out of pillows). Although I am a huge Chuck Martin fan…I’d go in for him if he really wanted.

I am painfully aware of that. When Steve asked me to help moderate, I said yes even though I had a two-year-old and a newborn. The younger one is getting married in August.

Yeah, and I remember the dial up connections you had to make back in those days. Would get bounced off over and over. We had a few “interesting” characters that used to frequent RedSteve’s chat room.
