This link goes to photo albums from each day of camp. This is potentially reading too far into things, but there are photos of McComb passing 7/7 days. Heavner and TG are each pictured on only 3/7 days. Do with this limited information what you will. miamiredhawks.com/galleries

You are correct. Updated roster has Nelson as #0. Reynolds still on the roster with #5.
Chuck says weāll use Pitt, Holy Cross and UC to sort things out. Translation: these are exhibitions.
Same as it ever was.
Also, I know at Miami we need to take what we can get when it comes to coverage, and Chuck is not apt to divulge anything anyway, but there is a pretty steep drop off from the days of Bake doing these interviews. None of these questions, save for the one about the OL, were crafted in a way to illicit any information.
Theyāre hardly questions.
Chuck isnāt divulging shit. I donāt blame him.
It is still annoying.
Weāll prolly play all 3 QBs at Pittā¦
No, but I guarantee we play two.
Perfectly said.
Be careful what you guarantee.
Itās a shame CM plays the OC schedule like an exhibitionā¦.
Bridge is no SVP!!
Some things never change. It took him 10 years to decide to not treat UC like exhibition tooā¦
Iām not clear what it would look like for Chuck to treat OOC as exhibition vs not, and I think this is an overblown narrative in this forum.
Itās reasonable that he doesnāt set external expectations that weād win all of our OOC games, especially vs a Pitt team that should be better than us.
But I donāt think he calls games differently or something. If you have issue w his playcalling - Iām with you! But that doesnāt evaporate when we hit October. All teams cycle more guys in the early season. They are getting information about who is capable. Of course they will play who they think is best. But they may be wrong.
Iām with you in that I donāt think his intention is to lose any game (coaches are competitive by nature) but I do sometimes think his strategies arenāt malleable to win enough depending on how games pay out. We could benefit from a few more wrinkles on offense and no, not the jet sweep. I think our defense has been pretty correct over his career though. And the stats prolly support me here. Maybe?
My personal example would be Iām not trying to get a 7 on a par 5, but bad execution and strategy get me one. Gotta fix that.
I think this is a nice synthesis, and I agree.
Our last 8 openers vs P4/P5 schools. Tough games but hardly a murderers row. You may say Chuck wants to win, but he certainly isnāt bringing a prepared offense into battle.
Of course, every single one of these was a loss.
2025 @ Wisconsin - 0 points (0 offensive TDs)
2024 @ Northwestern - 6 points (0 TDs)
2023 @ Miami (FL) - 3 points (0 TDs)
2022 @ Kentucky - 13 points (1 TD)
2021 @ UC - 14 points (1 TD and after going down 42-0)
2019 @ Iowa - 14 points (2 TDs)
2018 vs UC - 0 points (0 TDs) (Bonus: we were @ Minny a week later and scored 3 points with 0 TDs)
2017 vs UC - 17 points (2 TDs) and probably the worst loss of Chuckās career
Those UC games technically arenāt even P5
Forever a mid-major.
