Correcting what I said earlier.
We lost three shootouts and two games in OT. We only get the extra point if it goes to the shootout.
We need SOMETHING to change here…a HC, a league, I dunno but something. I for one would like to see us in another conference ( CCHA) where we could compete more effectively, but as Bonk and Lurker have outlined, that is not realistic.
So, a new HC or just wait for hope that NCAA rules will give us the possibility of a new MAC conference.
You get one point for making it to overtime and a second for winning in a SO or OT.
Miami had three regulation wins (3 points each for 9) plus three shootout losses (both games at St. Cloud and vs. CC) and two OT losses (Omaha and this past weekend vs <–M). So 14 total.
It infuriates me that hockey, which desperately needs to attract more fans, makes the simplest of concepts for people new to the sport – wins and losses – so unnecessarily complicated.
Fun fact: Miami is 0-8-13 in overtime the past four seasons.

Ok I had it correct the first time and shouldn’t have second guessed lol.
I could not figure out what formula they are using for win percentage.
That is a real issue . Awful can’t win ONE in 21 OT games.

Fun fact? That’s about as fun as when I make my son resand and repaint all my golf tees every winter!

Do you use oil-based laquer or water-based?

I don’t want to create unsafe working conditions for the little guy and end up with an OSHA violation, so water based is preferred.
