Good question. Any of my former associates here remember? Maybe downstairs at Millett? Been a few years. I am wear the white “Harper Valley…” T that Harp signed when he was sitting behind us at the women’s game.

Checking the media guide, Miami played at Ball State on 1/18/86. This was before Ball State opened Worthen Arena, so an old barn with wooden bleachers makes sense.
Making the duo milestones even more special: Ball State’s Dan “We’ll see who the MAC Player of the Year is” Polombizio would have been an up close witness to Harper’s 2K. 
Side question—Is that Chris W. on the left side in those photos?

That is indeed a much younger @ChrisW1980 on the far left and yours truly on the far right. It was indeed in Ball State’s old gym.
Thanks @Wendy75 for posting this. If I still have that pic it’s buried somewhere in a box in the basement. Good times, great memories.

My first thought was “that guy on the right has a real devil may care look about him. I wonder who this might be.” The national treasure. Of course!

My thought was, the guy on the right is not the athlete being honored nor is he holding a number: why is he in the picture?
