DeMarini Invitational Mar. 3-5, @Stanford

Tough but exciting challenge for Miami softball this weekend in Palo Alto, CA. The RedHawks are 8-2, having won 8 straight after dropping their first 2 of the year to South Carolina and Charlotte.

We play Cal(14-2) today at 3:00 local time, and then Villanova(6-9) at 5:30. Undoubtedly, the Golden Bears will be looking for some revenge after we went 2-0-1 against them in Oxford last season.

On Saturday, we play Cal again (4:00 ET), and then we take on the host #15 Stanford(14-2) at 9:00.

Finally, Miami plays Stanford again at 5:00 ET on Sunday.

Let’s go 'Hawks!

RedHawks beat Cal 4-2!

Yea us!

Getting crushed by a not particularly good Villanova in the nightcap.

10-1 Nova final score. Left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th.

Miami loses a back-and-forth one to Cal, 12-11 in 8 innings.

Squandered a 4 run lead in the 6th and 7th.

Run-ruled and shut out in both games against Stanford. Finish 1-4 in the tournament.

Looked like lambs in the slaughterhouse against Stanford. Cardinal is a whole different level of elite!
