The Hornets lost their opener at home to DII HBCU member Bowie State on Saturday 22-11. They’re going on the road and be physically abused by Army West Point this Saturday and then they travel to Richmond before heading to Oxford.
Every player on Miami’s roster should get considerable game experience against Delaware State. I mean it. Every damned uninjured eligible player on our roster!
No one should be able to say they never saw the field at Miami after that game.

Yeah, people would be mad if we missed out on a bowl because we didn’t get a free FCS win or if we scheduled a strong FCS team and lost. Plus we need 5 home games. I don’t think it will be the most compelling game, but I understand why they get scheduled.
Let just hope the Oline moves someone in this one, lol!

Definitely - I don’t disagree with that. Ideally too, we actually try running a real game plan with the backups and see them in realistic action. Feel like often the backups go in and just hand the ball off for runs rather than getting real experience.
I totally agree MooreHawk. We dont blow many people out but when we do we give the backups zero chance to have success

The objective in these games should be to get up 49-3 at halftime, let the twos and threes play the third and the threes and fours play half the fourth quarter. You win it 63-10 and every damned kid on the team has game experience.
