Kudos to Nick Shepkowski (the author) for referring to us as Miami University…without the “(OH)” or “of Ohio.” Finally, a writer who trusts his/her readers to know about college sports (and geography).

Can’t blame a guy for taking a head coaching job if its available. Doesn’t seem like Miami is going to be opening up for him.
All the rumors of Chuck leaving until the head coach was named for Purdue. Anyone know what’s really going on?
And why leave Notre Dame for Ohio U or anywhere else right now? That school is stacked and with Freeman getting a contract extension, you know he’s going to want to keep his coaches around as much as possible.
This would be a real bummer. Deland has been my #1 choice next man up for several years now… would be a shame if the timing just doesn’t work out.
