Daryl Baldwin on National Council on the Humanities

I missed this when it happened. In October of last year, Daryl Baldwin–director of the Myaamia Center, and recipient of a MacArthur Genius Grant for his work on preserving the Miami language–was named to the National Council on the Humanities, which advises the chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities. As far as I know, he is the first Miami professor or staffer who has held such a position.
