My kid’s alma mater and former team - Hamilton College - won the D3 national championship yesterday with a 2-1 OT win over Hobart College in Utica. Hobart was 30-0 entering the game.

Brian and one of his 2012-2014 line mates watched the game together. They agreed that the Continentals’ natty makes them both more valuable beer league players from now on.

Congrats to Coach Rob Haberbusch and the Buff and Blue!

I watched most of the game. Hobart was probably the better team, but Ham’s goalie Reid robbed them a few times, they hit some posts, and had some bad puck luck. Party at The Rok!

And, you don’t see many nickname match-ups out there between teams named the Continentals and the Statesmen.
