66th birthday tomorrow, but today was his retirement ceremony from the Prosecutors Office of Warren county. June 30, his official retirement date, has been designated Chris Watkins day in Warren County. As you would expect, for those of you who know Chris, he had a packed house. He also pointed out every Miami grad in the room, and there were quite a few. His boss, the Prosecuting attorney for Warren County, wore a green tie for the event as his son is an assistant FB coach at Ohio U. In his faver, however, he also got emotional talking about Chris. Jim T and I represented Miami Hawktalk at the ceremony.

Congratulations to Chris. There are terrific guys in this world and then there is Chris. He’s heads and shoulders above them. What a fantastic guy. So happy for you, Chris.

Has anyone ever had a bad word to say about Chris? (Other than tax scofflaws, I suppose.) Congratulations to a great guy and great Miami fan on a well-earned retirement!
