I played team sports most all my life, and you better believe that getting these guys into the game and allowing them their moments to shine is a big deal, both for their development as well as their motivation.
Interesting that we tried that FG.
Backup kicker getting in on the maction. Reminds me of one of those multiple pitcher no-hitters.
Kellen McLaughlin, welcome to the Miami kicker brotherhood. See you in a few years as the next great in the line of Sloman, Nicholson, and Dzobian.
CMU 7
Kellan McLaughlin 4
Our backup kicker nearly matched the Chips.
Hey, at least they shook hands like gentlemen. That was as short and uncomfomfortable a handshake between coaches as Iâve seen though.
Maybe Chuck is pissed off at CMU HC⌠normally he would have us take a knee in that situation.
Will there be a âfriendlyâ handshake at midfield at the end??
Maybe not.
You beat me to it!
Well, weâre 4-4. Ballcoach said at least 8 wins this year and that although it wouldnât be easy, we could repeat as champs. So far, his bet is looking correct.
They had something brewing between them for most of the 4th quarter, cincykid.
4-4 (3-1)
On to November. November is our month.
That was possibly the biggest ass kicking Iâve seen us put on a semi-competent MAC team. It feels nice to beat up on a team like current Kent or Jinks-era BG, but to thoroughly dominate an average team like that is quite satisfying.
Maybe Chuck saw Conor Stallions in sunglasses on Coach McElwainâs sideline again.
I wonder if he and Megan are related.
Side note: that anti-vaping commercial is ridiculous.
I was going to note the same thing. Not even any eye contact between CM and Mac.
I switched to BG-Toledo. The halftime package was Herbstreit explaining how the CFP works, so that was at least better than âArmy and Navy are undefeated heading into week 8⌠just donât check the scores of the noon games.â
There was an especially big celebration from the team for chuck becoming the winningest coach in Miami history followed by a long, heartfelt compilation of chucks greatest moments and congratulations from different people from his past
Lots of fans and the whole team stayed out to watch, a really heartfelt moment!
Great video tribute to Chuck after the game on becoming Miamiâs winningest coach ever. Really nice tribute with comments by Sean McVay, John Harbaugh, Chris Shula, Brian, Kelly, and a whole bunch of former players and coaches that Chuck coached with.
The second half was one of the most dominant ass whoopings I have seen Miami put on another MAC team. Miami made CMU look like absolute trash second half. I also think CMU was a pretty dirty team so they deserved to have their asses handed to them.
