Carmen Riano received an at-large bid to the NCAA championship meet. She will be running at 10:20 a.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Stillwater, OK. The event will air on ESPNU.

Carmen Riano finished 188th overall running 21:13.5 (6k), well off her personal best and MAC championship meet winning time of 19:30.3, and her Great Lakes regional time of 20:19.3.
Katelyn Tuohy of NC State won the individual title running 19:27.7 (NC State also won the women’s team title).
Not a good run for Riano by any means finishing behind two Toledo runners, who she easily beat at the MAC championship meet in late October. Weather was probably a factor. Sunny skies, but near freezing temperatures in Stillwater at the start of the race.
Toledo women finished 25th in the team competition.

Good for Toledo. Ps, I’m always amazed that the winner and a person who finishes in the hundreds are so close in time relatively speaking. Shows how hard it is to win.

Maybe she didn’t feel well. Overall an outstanding season.
