The college coach hiring situation in general is problematic. Hit a home run on a budget friendly hire and mid majors get out bid in a season or two⌠Try to hire away an âestablishedâ successful D1 coach and youâre likely not in the ballpark for $.( head coach and assistants).
But isnât that what separates a good AD from a mediocre one? The finances and logistics will always be the bulk of the job, but hiring the right coaches is imperative to sustaining success.
