Love, Honor,Care game. Free tickets are available for a battle between 2 of the best teams in the MAC. UB is currently 21-4 ( 10-3) and tied for 2nd and 3rd with Toledo. Miami is currently 16-8( 8-5) and tied with Kent for 4th and 5th place. Wednesday Buffalo came from behind at
home to beat Kent 76 to 70 and Miami broke open a tight game with a 19 to 6 run to end the game at Akron 70 to 58. We are on a 5 game winning streak. Earlier in the year Miami led at Buffalo for the first 35 minutes but the Bulls finished the game on a 16 - 0 run and won 59 to 51.
Buffalo has two first team preseason first team All MAC players in 5-10 5th SR Chella Watson and 5-10 Sophomore Kirsten Williams Lewis. Last year Watson was 4th in the nation in Scoring, this year she is first in the MAC again at 21ppg. Lewis was FOY last season and averages 14 ppg. In our first game we limited Watson to 10 but Lewis Williams took over the game and had 28 points. I would consider Buffalo to be the fastest team in the MAC.

Big game for us, these are the types of games we have to win to get to the top of the MAC. I hope we have the type of crowd Saturday to give us an added edge.
Looks like Buffalo would still hold the tiebreaker even if we win, but they still have to play on the road against both Ball St and Toledo. Would need to win out and have them lose both for us to pass them for the 3 seed.
Miami loses by 14. Miami now a very respectable 16-9 overall, 8-6 MAC play. Tretter with 14 and 20. Second highest number of rebounds in Miami WBB single game. Miami has 4 games left in regular season MAC play. At the very least I would expect them to win at least 2 and sweeping all 4 not impossible to finish with 20
regular season wins. No shame in losing to this very good UB team. No one expected the job Glenn is doing this year. Remember he is starting two true freshman in Tamar and Ilse.
Buffalo was very impressive, both ends of the court. Enjulina was the only girl that we have who could match their speed and athleticism. I don’t think we were playing worse than we had been, they just took most everything away from us and we mostly ended up with tough 3’s, not open looks. Tretter and Gonzalez more than held their own against UB, but that was it. Maya did a great job defending Watson. Buffalo is 22-4 now. We are capable of winning our last 4 and getting to 20 wins in the regular season, but absolutely nothing is guaranteed, those are big games for those other teams too.
